"It is a dream to step into Paradisverkstaden's studio on Öland and be able to create together with Eva, Hannah and Moa. It is an incredibly creative and inviting place and the craftsmanship their turners perform is incredibly impressive.
This time we have played with structures and relief as well as colors on glazes. The result is a more playful collection on a smaller scale that we are very proud of. It shows what Grandpa stands for - timelessness and quality."
- Susanna Månsson, Marketing Manager Grandpa
In our new collection, we maintain the same stripped-down basic design and clear 60s influences as before, but have added relief and a greater color variation in the glaze.
In fact, each product has its very own glaze in colors such as pink, oat, wood brown and ochre.
Each part in this collection is therefore significantly more unique - yet the products interact in a soft and synchronized way. They are clearly related to both each other and Grandpa - and are all marked by the lava flecks in the sand-colored clay that melts and emerges through the glazes.

Crafts from Öland
The collection consists of seven different products derived from the same type of clay, and the manufacturing process begins with the clay being properly worked. It is then attached and centered on the rotating turntable before each product is given its special shape.
In the next step, when the clay has taken on a leather-hard texture, reliefs are added and then follows the so-called "skrejfiring" which establishes the shape. Finally, it's time for the glaze - it contributes to a nice surface after a final turn in the ceramic kiln.
