There are traces of Japanese design thinking in the collection with its restrained aesthetics. The beautiful appears clearly in the simple stripped down.
It is not far off to want to call Morgon Grå and Paradismorgon "Öland zen".
The Morgon grey series bears traces of Japanese design philosophy with simplicity, balance and restrained aesthetics.
When the morning mist lies over southern Öland, the landscape changes. The light refracts in layers from pale ice blue to deeper gray and blue tones. The haze, the elver, stone walls and the horizon blend together in soft transitions.
It is this tranquil and almost enigmatic experience of nature that lies behind the Morgon Grå tableware. The ceramics feature the same feeling of layering and toning colors that flow together in matte and shiny glazes.
