Raku bowl with lid
Every Raku bowl from Paradisverkstaden is a meeting between fire, clay and movement – where no object is the same as the other.
This handmade bowl with lid is shaped and glazed by hand before being fired in the Japanese raku tradition. During the firing, the bowl is heated to around 900°C, removed from the kiln red-hot, and cooled rapidly, creating the characteristic crackles in the glaze.
When it is then immersed in sawdust, the deep color shifts and metallic luster that make each Raku object unique arise.
With its soft design and lid in matching glaze, the bowl becomes a beautiful detail in the home – as much an art object as a functional ceramic.
